Time Capsule connectivity non existent when connected to Moca to extend network. Many thanks to the original poster "thomas178" to help me get started.
#Moca wan bridge full#
It works! Now the full house has 50/50 speeds. Test ookla speedtest and it shows 50/50.Reset and configure the "EastWing" to extend the "Mothership" using ethernet (earlier it was wifi).Take another ethernet cable and connect my mac to the "EastWing".Take an ethernet cable and connect the ECB6200 ethernet port to the second Airport Extreme "EastWing" WAN.Take the second ECB6200 to one end of the house and connect it to the coax on the wall.Take an ethernet cable and connect the Airport Extreme "Mothership" WAN port to one of the four Modem+Router LAN port.Take an ethernet cable and connect the ECB6200 ethernet port to the Modem+Router WAN port.Take second coax from the splitter and connect to the ECB6200 IN port.Take one coax from the splitter and connect it to the modem+router. So I went ahead an invested in 3 Actiontec ECB6200 which is a bonded MoCa 2.0 device. If I am in the center of the house, where the mothership is located, I get the full 50/50 treatment. That said, the ookla speedtest were returning pathetic results when at the 2 ends of the house. In order to improve the wifi signals across the house, I brought 2 more Airport Extremes and they extended the wifi network of the "Mothership Extreme" to both ends of the house. This is connected to the ONT via the Coax cable (old house, no ethernet). What that means is that the Frontier Modem+Router is the one and only DHCP+NAT server. The Airport Extreme "Mothership" is in bridge mode.

However, I keep the wifi on that device turned off and connect an Airport Extreme "Mothership" with an ethernet cable to manage my wifi and timed access, etc.

I am on Frontier 50/50 plan and they provide the modem+router.
